EPPO Reporting Service (2014/037) : Arctotheca calendula found for the first time in the Hérault and Var Departments (France)
In France, the species is recorded in camp sites in the Landes, in the Pyrénées Atlantiques since the 1980s, in Hérault, in Var as well as in Corsica since the 2000s.
In the Hérault Department, it is recorded in Valras plage on white dunes, just nearby the camping ‘Lou Village’ and in Sète at the Lieu dit ‘Castellas’. In the Var Department, it is present in Hyères at the Lieu dit ‘Notre-Dame’.
The plant has also been recorded in the Loire area as casual Dortel et al., 2011).
