Northern part.
Burbano-Figueroa et al. (2020, 2021): under official control; endemic in the dry and wet savannas of the Caribbean Plains and in the upper portion of the inter-Andean valleys of the Magdalena and Cauca rivers. The Eastern Plains and the Patia Valley are boll weevil-free zones. In the Caribbean, boll weevil is the main limiting pest of cotton crops.
Burbano-Figueroa et al.
