Eradication of Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens (EPPO A2 List) was first reported the causing vascular wilt of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) in three fields in the municipality of Altena in September 2024 (EPPO RS 2024/224). Eradication measures were applied including the prohibition to grow Fabaceae in the three fields. Sampling and testing of weeds growing in the vicinity of these fields in 2025 and 2026 confirmed that this outbreak is eradicated.
The pest status of Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens in the Netherlands is officially declared as: Absent, pest eradicated.
