New data on Humulus japonicus in the EPPO region
Humulus japonicus (= H. scandens) (Cannabaceae - EPPO Alert List) has for the first time been found in Serbia (Savic et al., 2008). Additionally, studies have shown that the pollen of H. japonicus is allergenic, and this species has been known as one of the important causes of pollen allergy in Korea and China (Park et al., 1999).
