American plum line pattern virus does not occur in Albania
The issue of the presence on American plum line pattern virus (Ilarvirus APLPV – EPPO A1 List) in Albania was raised after its detection in 2003, in four Prunus salicina plants originating from Albania, in a virus-infested stone fruit collection of IAM-Bari (Italy) (EPPO RS 2003/118). However, there was no further information available on the situation in Albania at the time.
The NPPO of Albania recently informed the EPPO Secretariat that American plum line pattern virus is not present on its territory. The pest has not been detected during official surveys in the country. The NPPO of Albania consider that there is no historical or recent evidence of the presence of the pest in Albania.
The status of American plum line pattern virus in Albania is officially declared as: Absent: pest not recorded.
