Tomato spotted wilt virus found in Romania
In Romania, two outbreaks of tomato spotted wilt virus (Tospovirus, TSWV – EPPO A2 List) were found in May 2020. The virus was detected in Capsicum annuum plants grown outdoors in the municipality of Tinca and of Oras Targu Frumos. Eradication measures are applied.
The pest status of Tomato spotted wilt virus in Romania is officially declared as: Present, only in some parts of the Member State concerned.
