Phthorimaea openculella intercepted in Hungary
In Hungary, plant health inspection revealed the presence of Phthorimaea operculella Zell. in a potato transit consignment destined to Czechoslovakia. The consignment originated from Egypt and the contamination was equally evidenced by the Czechoslovakian Plant Protection Service.
The potato tuber moth which is on the A2 EPPO quarantine list attacks mainly potatoes, tomatoes and tobacco.
