Phytosanitary Certificates in Cyprus
To Directors of Plant Protection Services and authorities concerned
From the Republic of Cyprus we have received the following notification :
“The plant health certificates accompanying agricultural commodities exported from Cyprus (citrus, other fruits, vegetables, etc.) are established by the official Plant Protection Service belonging to the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and by the Inspection Service of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus. These are the only competent authorities for the establishment of plant health certificates and certificates issued by other bodies are illegal and should not be accepted by the importing countries.”
