Report on Chrysanthemum white rust in Ireland
A few recent outbreaks of Chrysanthemum white rust on imported cuttings have been reported. The infected plants have been destroyed and measures are being taken to eradicate the disease before it becomes established.
One of these measures is the temporary suspension of import licences for plants of Chrysanthemum from all areas except Kenya and the Canary Islands. This suspension will be lifted at the earliest possible opportunity.
This is the first record of the disease in Ireland.
