Import of Chrysanthemums to the Republic of Ireland
The Department of Agriculture of the Republic of Ireland announces that the restriction on the imports of chrysanthemums which has operated over the past 18 months is now being modified. The restriction was imposed in December 1976 following a widespread outbreak in the United Kingdom of White Rust disease of chrysanthemums. The disease has now been brought sufficiently under control to enable imports to be resumed under licence, subject to certain conditions of plant health certification. Applications for licences should be made to the Department in the normal way.
