Survival of Liriomyza trifolii outdoors in the UK
The Ministry has found in 1980 no evidence of survival of Liriomyza trifolii in the area where it was discovered out of doors in 1979 (Efford Experimental Horticulture Station). The pest therefore seems unable to survive the winter.
There are at present no reports of the pest in any nursery in the United Kingdom.
