Presence of Xanthomonas fragariae in Portugal on imported strawberry plants
Plants showing characteristic symptoms of infection by Xanthomonas fragariae were identified during post-importation tests. Isolation of infected material and subsequent tests carried out confirmed the presence of the pathogen. An eradication programme has been set up and all infected plants have been destroyed.
