Fireblight Outbreaks in Certain Greek Islands
Erwinia amylovora outbreaks have occurred in Crete (in the regions of Potami and Rethymo) and on Mytilini island. These were recorded for the first time in 1986 on pear, cvs. Passe-Crassane and Abate Fetel.
An eradication programme has been set up and will continue.
