Australian grapevine yellows caused by a pathogen very similar to grapevine flavescence dorée MLO
Australian grapevine yellows is known to have similar symptoms and epidemiology to the European disease caused by grapevine flavescence dorée MLO (EPPO A2 List) It has now been shown by electronic microscope to be caused by a similar MLO (mycoplasma-like organism). Serological studies are needed to determine the exact relationship between the two organisms.
