Thrips palmi in Caribbean
T. palmi (EPPO Al List) was first identified in the Caribbean in Puerto Rico (1987-01). It has since been officially reported from Martinique and Guadeloupe (EPPO Reporting Service 498/05) and from Trinidad. It has been intercepted in USA on Chinese vegetables from Dominican Republic.
