Rhizomania - symptoms and detection in beet seed crops
In France, beet necrotic yellow vein furovirus (EPPO A2 List) does not occur in areas of beet seed production and inspections and tests are done to verify this. In experimental trials, BNYVV was not found to cause very characteristic symptoms on seed crops, but ELISA was found extremely reliable, as a detection method.
