Severe outbreaks of Stewart's bacterial wilt in New York State (US)
In 1986, severe attacks by Erwinia stewartii (EPPO A2 List) were observed on 1360 ha of sweet corn cv. Jubilee in western New York, associated with extensive feeding injury by the vector Chaetocnema pulicaria. First major outbreak in New York state since 1933.
