Xanthomonas campestris pv. pruni


In South Africa, X. c. pruni (EPPO A2 List) is transmitted by wind-driven rain, overhead sprinkler irrigation, infected budwood and contaminated pruning shears (C.A. Goodman & M.J. Hattingh, Univ. of Stellenbosch, ZA; abstract P. II-1-13). In India, it causes a very serious problem on almond in Himachal Pradesh State (K.K. Jindal, Univ. of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, IN).
