Hungarian strain of barley stripe mosaic hordeivirus
In Hungary, barley stripe mosaic hordeivirus (EPPO A2 list) has been found for the first time in 1984. Recent studies showed the occurence of a new Hungarian strain. This strain causes very mild symptoms but infects, however, barley and wheat cultivars which were resistant to the BSMV-Russian strain.
