Interceptions in the Netherlands in 1991

Up till now, interception reports have been sent to EPPO as an annual summary, after the end of each year. EPPO now encourages plant protection services to send copies of individual interception reports to EPPO at the same time as they are sent to the exporting country. The Netherlands is the first Member Government to apply this new system.
During the first 6 months of 1991 the Netherlands intercepted 27 consignments or parts of consignments. Among others Uromyces transversalis from Zimbabwe and Aphelenchoides besseyi from Brazil were intercepted.
