Resistance testing of tobacco against tomato spotted wilt virus
During the years 1982-1984 experiments were carried out in Bulgaria to assess the susceptibility of tobacco cultivars to tomato spotted wilt virus (EPPO A2 list).
The experiments which were carried out under the background of natural infection, showed that all 106 tested cultivars were affected by the virus. Susceptibility differences only occurred when cultivars were tested under equal agroecological and infectious conditions.
