Polyclonal antibodies against tomato spotted wilt virus
Several polyclonal antisera and ELISA procedures were tested for their potential to detect TSWV (EPPO A2 list).
Nucleocapsid protein antiserum and antiserum against intact virus particles were used. According to the authors both antisera were extremely able to detect TSWV. The nucleocapsid antiserum was able to detect TSWV in highly diluted extracts of different hosts and also in leaf extracts or tissues which were stored for 30 d under different conditions.
