Increased insecticide susceptibility of Spodoptera litura and Heliothis armigera
Second instars of Helicoverpa armigera (EPPO A2 list) and Spodoptera litura (EPPO A1 organism) showed a higher susceptibility to endosulfan, monocrotophos, fenvalerate and cypermethrin when previously treated with Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. thuringiensis.
The LC50s of these insecticides to the larvae of the species where lowered. For larvae of H. armigera the increased susceptibility to the insecticides was higher than for larvae of Spodoptera litura.
