Liriomyza trifolii in Tonga
Liriomyza trifolii (EPPO A2 list) has been reported from Tonga.
It mainly causes economic losses to beans, tomato, pepper, melon, cucumber, pumpkin, lettuce, cabbage and onion.
The new distribution list of L. trifolii:
EPPO region: Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Yugoslavia.
North America: Canada, Mexico and US (including Hawaii).
Central America and Caribbean: Bahamas, Barbados, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Guatemala and Martinique.
South America: Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru and Venezuela.
Asia: Japan.
Africa: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria Reunion, Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania.
Oceania: Guam, Micronesia, Tonga
