Erwinia amylovora present in Yugoslavia
In 1990 the Federal Secretariat of Agriculture of Yugoslavia organized inspections of apples, pears, and quinces throughout the country in order to conduct a survey for Erwinia amylovora (EPPO A2 list).
It was found at several locations in the South and South-East along the borders to Bulgaria, Greece, and Albania as well as two locations in central Yugoslavia.
Measures have been taken to destroy the infected trees and plantations.
