Survey for A1 and A2 pests on cut flowers imported into Finland
From 1990-12 until the 1991-01-14 the Finnish Plant Quarantine Service carried out a survey to clarify the volume of transmitted A1 and A2 pests on cut flowers imported into Finland.
265 consignments of 44 plant species originating from 16 countries were inspected.
The Finnish Quarantine Service detected 55 consignments infested by 5 quarantine organisms during approximately six weeks:
Thrips palmi 12 consignments from Thailand
Liriomyza sativae 1 consignment from Zimbabwe
Frankliniella schultzei 3 consignments from Italy and The Netherlands
F. occidentalis 35 consignments from Colombia, Israel, Italy, Kenya, The Netherlands and the USA
Liriomyza trifolii 4 consignments from Israel
Finnish authorities will continue to inspect cut flowers imported into Finland.
