Sources of resistance to tomato spotted wilt tospovirus in Capsicum
Different Capsicum genotypes have been studied for their resistance to tomato spotted wilt tospovirus (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) in France. Sources of resistance have been confirmed in the species Capsicum chacoense and found in C. frutescens against several strains of TSWV. Breeding programmes are now being carried out in order to use these sources of resistance for cultivated varieties.
