Glomerella gossypii present in China
According to a report in the Journal of Shanghai Agricultural College symptoms of cotton anthracnose, caused by Glomerella gossypii (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) were observed in Shanghai, China. The disease symptoms appeared late August and September and the disease severity was related to the age of the cotton boll. Rainfall was recorded to be the main environmental factor influencing the disease.
