Update on the occurrence of Diabrotica virgifera virgifera in Yugoslavia
The EPPO Secretariat has received an official notification from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Belgrade that the presence of Diabrotica virgifera virgifera (potential EPPO A2 quarantine pest) has been established in 1993 with certainty in a number of localities in Donji Srem and two localities in Banat (Krnjaca and Pancevo). The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and specialized services in the field are exerting efforts to prevent further spread.
