Situation of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus in Spain
The EPPO Secretariat has recently been informed by the Plant Protection Service of Spain that Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) has been found for the first time in Spain in two provinces (Comunidades Autómas). The disease was found in seed and ware potatoes in Castilla-Léon and in ware potatoes in Pais Vasco during the 1995 growing season. Eradication measures were immediately applied against the disease.
