Czech Republic: occurrence of Liriomyza huidobrensis and eradication of Helicoverpa armigera


1) Liriomyza huidobrensis (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) was found in Czech Republic for the first time in 1993 in some glasshouses.

2) Helicoverpa armigera (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) was reported in glasshouses in southern Moravia, Czech Republic, in late summer 1994. Larvae were first found on carnation and then on tomatoes in mid-September. The outbreak was then eradicated.
