Phytosanitary incident: Bemisia tabaci found in Ireland
Following an earlier Danish notification regarding the finding of Bemisia tabaci (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) on an Irish consignment of Euphorbia pulcherrima, an intensive survey was carried out in Ireland on nurseries producing E. pulcherrima. B. tabaci has been found on four nurseries, and in all cases the cuttings originated from a German company. Control programmes are being carried out to eradicate B. tabaci.
