First report of Bactrocera zonata in Egypt
Bactrocera zonata (EPPO A1 quarantine pest) is reported for the first time from Egypt. This fruit fly was recently found on guavas (Psidium guajava) and other fruits and vegetables. So far, B. zonata was known to occur only in Asian countries (although some adventive populations were reported from Mauritius).
