The NPPO of Turkey recently informed the EPPO Secretariat about the situation of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae - EPPO A2 List) in 2006. In 2005, in the province of Antalya, imported palm trees were inspected and found infested by R. ferrugineus (see also EPPO RS 2007/001).
