Comments
Oskay et al. (2020) considered that the report from Kizikelashvili (1987) probably referred to a Dothistroma sp. (not L. acicola - most probably D. septosporum). However, they noted that the presence of L. acicola in Georgia is probable as there is an unpublished molecular confirmation of the pathogen in Georgia.

From Laas et al. (2022): confirms the presence of L. acicola in Georgia with molecular methods.
