‘Candidatus Phytoplasma palmicola’

EPPO Reporting Service (1997/222) : the lethal yellowing called Awka disease in Nigeria is caused by a phytoplasma identical with that causing Cape St Paul disease in Ghana (but different from those in other West African countries, in East Africa, and in the Caribbean).
