Adventive populations in Hawaii (first record: 1895). In continental USA, it is occasionally trapped in California (mainly in Southern CA) but always subject to eradication measures.

- Los Angeles county in 1985-06 and again in 1987-07. Eradicated
- Kern county in 2010-08. Eradicated.
