A new collaborative platform on invasive alien plants in the French overseas territories

A new collaborative platform on invasive alien plants in the French overseas territories has been launched. This platform has been developed in the framework of the project Pl@ntNet of which the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) French committee is a partner. The objective of this platform is to facilitate the exchange of information on invasive alien plants in overseas territories, and the members can easily discuss and share documents, pictures, etc. Information on 294 introduced species considered invasive is provided along with high quality pictures (that can be zoomed in on) and distribution maps, as well as the risk analyses performed for some of these species.
